Wedding Reception Menu

Please let us know if you would like to create something different to our above listed menu….maybe you have special dietary considerations, or must have favourite foods. Should you wish to enjoy a buffet style dinner, please ask our wedding co-ordinator for this menu.

Winter Deals

We offer a winter discount of 5% off Wedding Reception package prices during June and July,& during the month of August. Minimum numbers may be negotiated during winter.

Room Access for your Wedding Reception

Whenever possible we will try to accommodate your room access requirements for your Wedding Reception. Please liaise with our wedding co-ordinator.Please ensure Cake box is labelled and ask your cake decorator whether it may be placed in our cool room.

Wedding Cake

Cake bags are to be supplied by the client if required. The bottom tier of the wedding cake unless otherwise advised, will be sliced and served on a platter.

Children and Band Meals A special meal for children under 12 can be arranged, it consists of a children’s main meal, ice cream and soft drinks for duration of evening @ $45.00 each.

Meals for DJ’s, bands and photographers are charged @ $40.00 each and consist of a main meal and soft drinks. The band meals are served after your guests have been served their meals. Alcoholic Beverages for the band/DJ, unless otherwise advised, will be added to your account.

Table Layout

Tables seat a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 10 people. Our Wedding Co-ordinator will assist you with a floor plan to best suit your needs. A suggested table layout will be provided to you at our meeting prior to your Wedding.

Place cards Once your table seating plan has been finalise, please group your place cards for each table together and place each table in a separate envelope. Indicate on each envelope the table number and the number of people seated at that table and the order that you wish them to be seated. Our staff will place the cards on the tables for you.

So What Do I need to do?

  1. Place a Wedding Reception booking.You may place a tentative booking initially, please read our terms and conditions for confirmation of booking requirements.When you have confirmed your Wedding Reception booking…
  2. Contact our Wedding Co-ordinator (at least 6 weeks prior) to your wedding and make an appointment to select your menu and finalised all arrangements including your table layout. You should allow approximately one hour for this appointment.
  3. Seven days prior to your Wedding Reception, we require the following details to be finalised: final guest numbers, full payment of all package & sundry expenses
  4. One day prior to your Wedding Reception, we require the following details to be finalised seating / table plan guest list by table number guest and bridal party place cards any other items being placed on the tables eg: Sugar coated almonds, gifts, speciality chocolates, etc.

Panorama Room

  • Panoramic views over the Lockyer valley.The perfect choice for weddings. Minimum 80 pax
  • Seats up to 150 pax

Table Top Room

  • A beautiful room with natural parkland views and fairy lit trees at night. Minimum 50 pax
  • Seats up to 100 pax

Grand Vista

  • A combination of the above rooms for large events up to 500 pax

Terraced Garden $400.00

  • For wedding ceremonies -exclusively for those holding their wedding receptions at Picnic Point
    Sandstone surrounded rose gardens, with lush green lawn and spectacular valley views includes skirted register table, 20 chairs and red carpet

The Cellar

  • A very elegant space adjacent to our restaurant. Ideally suited for the intimate wedding – up to 50 guests. 

Please liaise with our Wedding Co-ordinator who will assist you in selecting the most appropriate room for your Wedding Reception.

Price inclusive of GST. 15% surcharge applies for Public Holidays.

Due to Covid-19 restrictons the room capacities may be less.  

Payment is required 7 days prior to the reception unless prior arrangements have been made with Management.

ITEMS REQUIRED PRIOR TO RECEPTION

Picnic Point Function Centre, three days prior to your reception, requires the following items:

  •     Floor plan
  •     Guest list by Table Number
  •     Place cards
  •     Any other items being placed on the table
    eg Sugar coated almonds, gifts, speciality chocolates, etc.

CLEANING FEE

Additional charges will be incurred for any deliberate damage or cleaning deemed excessive by the management. Glitter and confetti are not permitted within the enclosure of the complex.

Chair covers are available @ $5.00 each.
Covers are white or black with a choice of white or black bands.

We will be happy to cater for guests with special dietary requirements.
Please speak to your Function coordinator as prior notice is essential.

  • Picnic Point Toowoomba has the connection called Wireless Internet Picnic Point available for customers
  • We have internet connections available in our function rooms

1. In Network Connections
Establish the connection should say “Wireless Internet Picnic Point” & show a signal

2. Go to your browser
Should take you to the Picnic Point welcome page, click yes to accept the terms & conditions

3. Then enter code (staff have this code)

4. If you have a connection & cannot get the browser to open then your firewalls may be the problem. Firewalls can block access to a wireless network. You may need to change settings in your virus protection software, or in windows. If it is a company computer your IT department may need to do this.

5. Remember to reset your firewall when you have finished. Picnic Point cannot be held responsible should the connection not work on the day of your event. Picnic Point will call a technician to site at the earliest available time, but will not guarantee the repair work will be carried out in the time frame of your event. We strongly recommend that you have a copy of your data on a USB to ensure a successful event.

In the event of a fire emergency, phone 000. Emergency evacuation point is the top car park, by the flagpole, Picnic Point Park.

ALL STAFF

In the event of a fire emergency, phone 000. Please immediately report smoke or fire to Picnic Point management. If safe to do so, isolate fire by closing doors. If safe, Use according to instructions on fire extinguishers/blanket. Fire extinguishers & blankets are located in all kitchens. There are two fire hoses in the building located on the function centre floor one near back car park exit & one by the public toilets near waterfall exit see diagram. Use according to instructions. In the event of an emergency you will be asked to evacuate the building by a Picnic Point fire warden. Emergency evacuation point for staff & customers is the top car park, by the flagpole, Picnic Point Park. Please immediately report smoke or fire to Picnic Point management. Each floor has a fire warden. Fire warden takes roster with employee details, evacuates toilets, public areas, back of house & advises management & staff on other floors of evacuation.

CUSTOMERS
